Take Charge
of Your Life
|

Is eating a battle for you? Do you crave more than you know your body needs?
Are you tired of the roller coaster of losing and regaining weight?
Do you find that thoughts of food take up too much space in your mind?
Does the thought of being at peace with food seem like an impossible dream?
Being at peace with food means that food has its appropriate place in your life. Its purpose is to nourish you, not control you. This two-phase program will assist you in developing a different approach toward your relationship with food and help reduce or eliminate compulsive overeating.
You will learn;
To divorce yourself from the "diet mentality" and devise a new paradigm of a "vision for eating"
To become conscious of your eating habits and to determine your priorities for change
To learn how to hold your commitment to yourself in taking action on your individual goals
To develop awareness and understanding of the difference between mouth hunger and stomach hunger.
To maintain a eating plan (not dieting) regardless of internal or external stressors
To learn ways to make better food choices and eliminate dieting
To become sensitive to the connection between your body and your
emotions
To devise strategies to take charge of food cravings
To develop a positive body image
To reach out into new directions which are fulfilling and do not involve food
To craft a realistic eating plan which is self-caring, body caring and
emotionally and physically nourishing
The emphasis of this program will be to develop an eating life style
that works for you, taking charge of food, so it no longer takes charge
of you.
Who are candidates for this program? Women who are tired of overeating,
dieting, and
diet plans and want a fresh approach toward their self care. Women with
bulimia or anorexia are not suited for this program.
Phase One: A four-session group educational program, which will
provide you with information regarding food and self-care and a structure
for assessing your particular eating patterns
Phase Two: Groups of 3 or 4 women who meet once of week for three
months for team coaching to learn to implement the above goals
Format: on the phone with teams of 3 or 4 women {all participants
will call a common telephone number}. Each team will work with a coach to
develop strategies to change their overeating patterns. Team members will
offer support to each other and be accountable to the group and their
individual goals and commitments.

Take Charge of Your Life:
Bring Focus To What You Desire
Have you ever wanted to do something, but cannot seem to make it happen?
Many of us feel pulled in a million directions. The competing demands for
our time, attention and commitment are ever-present and what usually happens
is our own interests go on the back burner. We may find ourselves rushing
around as the days turn into weeks, months or years.
This program will help you develop strategies to move into action. Once a week, for an hour, on the telephone, we work as a group to help each other identify goals and strategies in order to achieve results. Individual goals may vary from starting a business, to changing jobs, to writing a book or to developing an exercise program. A group is a wonderful way to get motivated as well as learn from others' experiences and creative ideas. It offers support and feedback that everyone can utilize, a bit of peace, even in the midst of busy and demanding schedules.
A personal and executive coach will help provide focus and direction. By talking on a weekly basis, you will develop an action plan--a system of follow up and accountability that will remove roadblocks and help you meet your goals.
